SUYE X TLP
The Story of SUYE & The London Police
The London Police (TLP) began 26 years ago as a street art duo consisting of Bob & Chaz. Over time, their journey expanded with the addition of The Monk, who assisted in mural painting and the basic shipping of their artworks. Later, Chinny Bond joined to further support mural projects.
SUYE and The London Police first crossed paths at an art and collectible fair in the UK. During this event, SUYE proposed a collaboration, recognizing the potential for TLP to expand into the Web3 space. SUYE stated: "We should work together; we can guide you into the Web3 space and do cool stuff. However, first, let us release on VEVE, as we have the relationships to make this happen."
At the time, SUYE was already pioneering Web3 initiatives, particularly in limited-edition clothing under its own brand. Given SUYE’s background in art, NFTs, and graffiti, it became clear that collaborating with TLP in the digital art space was the natural next step. This partnership led to the enhancement of TLP’s online presence, incorporating NFT capabilities, token-gated content, animations, and smart contract integrations. SUYE also facilitated TLP’s entry onto third-party platforms like VEVE, handling contracts, design, and ideation—allowing the artists to focus on painting while SUYE took care of the technical and strategic aspects.
The collaboration deepened when SUYE visited former friends at GO Gallery, learning that they planned to step away from the space. SUYE quickly stepped in to take over the gallery and invited TLP to join forces. This led to the establishment of a joint headquarters and gallery space. While The London Police are the primary presence in the gallery, the space also supports SUYE’s projects and artists associated with TLP. The relationship is one of mutual collaboration, where each entity contributes within their area of expertise.
